JV and Freshman Volleyball End Season Positively

The JV and Freshman volleyball teams ended their respective seasons positively, with the freshmen finishing the season with a record of 8-4, and JV with 14-12.

Freshman player, Allysa McKinney said although pre-season didn’t go well, they learned a lot and finished the district season winning twice as many games as they had  lost.

“It’s a lot of fun,” McKinney said. “It’s a lot faster paced than middle school, but if you’re not prepared for it, it can be very hard.”

McKinney’s highlight of her first high school season was her first district game, in which the team was victorious.  Both JV and Varsity attended the first game of the district season to show their support. The match was fun, yet challenging, but the entire team ended the night with smiles on their faces.

According to Cali Campbell, a JV red player, the team did their best to work together throughout the season. She said pushing themselves to the limit was an important area they all needed to improve on.

“We have some really fun people,” Campbell said when asked about her team. Throughout the entire season, the team worked together to achieve as many wins as they could through both the preliminary and district seasons.
